Service 133: Timetable Changes

5^th November 1977

“Wendaway” Viable Network ProjectShow All

On Saturday 5^th November 1977, Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) introduced the “Wendaway” Viable Network Project (VNP) scheme in Kidderminster and the surrounding area.

• Service 133 is withdrawn and replaced by new Service X93 running hourly between Birmingham, Kidderminster, Stourport and Worcester, inter-worked with Service X92 to provide a 30-minute frequency between Birmingham and Kidderminster.

23^rd November 1985

Worcester Citibus Network LaunchedShow All

On Saturday 23^rd November 1985, Midland Red (West) Limited replaced all Worcester City Local bus services (using “W”-prefix route numbers, first introduced in 1928) with a new Worcester Citibus network of services operated with high-frequency Mercedes-Benz L608D minibuses. On the same date there are a number of significant service changes throughout the operating area.

• Additional journeys on Service 133 (Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Charford).

• Service 333 running between Kidderminster and Chaddesley Corbett is withdrawn and replaced by new Service 133.
