Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) closed Malvern depot at the end of operations on Friday 1st October 1976. All local “M”-prefix services are withdrawn, and a number of long-distance services in the area are either withdrawn or cut-back. From Saturday 2nd October 1976, a new network of services in the Malvern area is introduced, operated by Worcester depot.

On Saturday 13th January 1979, Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) introduced the “SevernLink” Market Analysis Project (MAP) scheme in the Worcester, Bromsgrove and Malvern areas.

County Council contracts changesShow All

First Midland Red Buses Limited won several new contracts from Worcestershire County Council. Most of these were previously operated by Probus Management Limited (trading as Pete’s Travel), who withdrew from all of their contract work in Worcestershire at this time. Other contracts were won or lost from Herefordshire County Council.
