Service 292: Timetable Changes

“Wendaway” Viable Network ProjectShow All
On Saturday 5th November 1977, Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) introduced the “Wendaway” Viable Network Project (VNP) scheme in Kidderminster and the surrounding area.
- Timetable revised for Service 292 running between Kidderminster, Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow.

Bull Ring Bus Station closedShow All
On Sunday 20th June 1999, the Bull Ring Shopping Centre, Market and Bus Station are Closed for demolition. First Midland Red Buses Limited publish a small booklet titled “All Change in Birmingham†detailing all the changes made to their bus services in Birmingham.
- Service 192 and Service 292 are re-routed to terminate at Smallbrook Queensway (Stand Gf). New pick-up points are at Smallbrook Queensway (Stand Gf), Priory Queensway (Stand Na), Colmore Row (Stand Ae), and Edmund Street (Stand Tm).
- New Service 192 and Service 292 timetable.
2nd September 2001
- New Service 292 journeys from Hereford to Leominster departing at 19:30 and 21:30 are introduced (Monday to Saturday).
- New Service 292 journeys from Leominster to Hereford departing at 20:20 & 22:32 are introduced (Monday to Saturday).
- New Service 292 journey from Hereford to Leominster departing at 23:10 is introduced (Friday and Saturday only).
1st September 2002
- The Hereford to Ludlow section of Service 192 and Service 292 is withdrawn and partly replaced by new Service 492 between Hereford and Leominster only. This is operated operated under contract by several operators, with First Midland Red Buses Limited running off-peak weekday and Saturday journeys while journeys at other times are operated by Lugg Valley, Whitllebus or R&B Travel.
- The Kidderminster to Ludlow section of Service 192 now runs as Service 292.
- New combined Service 192 and Service 292 timetable incorporating the above changes.
