I am not a fan of electric buses, but the UK is well behind Boris Johnson's target of 4,000 battery operated stage carriage vehicles by 2024 as per link to Independent article;

NX West Midlands alone operate 145 electric buses (19 at YW, 126 at Cov) and 20 Hydrogen (Walsall) outside London alone at present with plenty more just around the corner.

Stagecoach West have 55 on order to enter service in Oxford in early 2024.
