Is this a good idea or badly thought out branding and marketing?
Mobico West Midlands Travel sounds more like it is run by an oil or petroleum company.
Mobico on erstwhile National Express coaches bears no relationship to the nationwide network of services operated at all. Weird!

Yes , Mobil petrol was a well known brand which I now believe is part of the global Exxon group. I my early days we had a metal ride on toy horse ,made by Mobo . . . . . If e-bay is accurate , it would be worth a few bob now.

Re: National Express renamed MOBICO
A few years ago, Royal Mail rebranded itself, to a totally unforgettable name. It lasted a few weeks, but cost the company millions to alter logos on vehicles. I think that this is another waste of time and money, the only beneficiaries being the agency who suggested the change, and the printers who gained the contract for the new logos!
