A bizarre sighting today leads me to ask " What is going on ? "
Along the Egdon Lane, near Drakes Broughton there is a railway siding and yard. In the yard are approx 7 ex RAPT London United Optare Tempo YJ11EHP etc...and an ex Monmouthshire County Council Volvo B10M S637SUH.
Which leads me to other questions, like , I think that the land is owned by the council, so why do the council want these ?
Do they have an emergency fleet incase an operator goes bust ?
What is going on ?

I can only assume that vehicles are stored on behalf of a dealer of some capacity. Not sure if many local operators use Tempo's ??

They appear to belong to a company called Priority Hire who appear to be a Bromsgrove based company who specialise in municipal trucks (Dust Carts)

Nice detective work ! Mill Lane brings back memories of school cross country runs c1970 . . . . . .
The site was a [smelly] pig farm then and we always run faster in the vicinity if the guard dogs were about.
