Only two examples of the BMMO C5 coach are known to have survived. These are fleet numbers 4780 and 4819, R/Nos: 780GHA and 819HHA. Both vehicles were built new as standard C5 coaches and neither were converted to any other type.
4780 was stored for many years unrestored, but following work by restoration specialist M&H Coachworks Limited, Leeds, this vehicle is now fully restored in its original condition.
4819 is fully restored and owned by the North Staffs Bus Group. It has been off the road for a major engine rebuild to cure a cracked block, which is a common fault with 8.028-litre engines, but is now back in working order and has been seen at a number of recent rallies.
