Great (and rare) photo of two DD12s together at Evesham - something that I don't remember having seen !

DD12 on Sunday 1st October 2017
Both of these DD12s did service at Worcester and Evesham. - 6096 was new to WR in 11.67, and transferred to EM in 1973 - until 12.78 (but it did about 3 months back at WR in 1976). - 6015 transferred to WR in 6.69, then went to EM in 1970 - until 7.77 (but it did about 3 months back at WR in 1975). Withdrawn at the end of 1983, and rescued by a Mr.Allibone (who sadly died soon-after, I believe), - and this is the only DD12 to survive. I believe it was donated to The Transport Museum, Wythall (or B@MMoT) by his widow, and remained there in a "slightly worrying" condition for a long time - but around 2008 it's bodywork was splendidly restored by the good people at Wythall (and £ financed by one good man in particular, apparently) - THANK YOU ! At that time, I was informed by the museum that 6015 would have to remain (forever) as a non-runner - I find it hard to believe that it's been a non-runner for 32 years now - ( "Time Flies" !! )

It does run because I had a short ride on it a few weeks ago, it is just not road legal so the ride was around the grounds of the museum only!

When I wrote "non-runner", I meant "not road legal" ! - (LoL !) - that was a real (nice) shock to me, when you recently told us that it was driveable around the grounds !
