Service 294: Timetable Changes

“Wendaway” Viable Network ProjectShow All
On Saturday 5th November 1977, Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) introduced the “Wendaway” Viable Network Project (VNP) scheme in Kidderminster and the surrounding area.
- Service K18 running between Kidderminster and The Walshes is withdrawn and replaced by new Service 294. On Sundays Service 304 provides a through services from Stourbridge to The Walshes.
2nd September 2001
- Service 294 Worcester to Kidderminster journey departing at 17:35 now runs as Service 293 on Saturdays, unchanged on Monday to Friday.
24th February 2002
New Kidderminster Bus StationShow All
On Sunday 24th February 2002, a new bus station is opened in Kidderminster, and all services are re-routed to serve the new site.
- All Service 293 and Service 294 journeys towards Worcester now depart from Stand 10 in the new bus station.
- Service 294 journeys towards Hagley R.C. High School now depart from Stand 1 in the new bus station.
7th April 2002
County Council contracts endShow All
At the end of services on Sunday 7th April 2002 a number of contracts operated by First Midland Red Buses Limited for Worcestershire County Council came to an end after being lost in during re-tendering. At the same time, a number of minor timetables changes were also introduced on other services.
- Service 294 Kidderminster to Worcester journey departing at 07:22 now departs at 07:15 and runs up to 7 minutes earlier throughout.
- Service 294 Ombersley to Kidderminster journey departing at 07:37 now starts from Holt Heath at 07:44 during School Holidays, unchanged during Schooldays.

- Service 294 journeys towards Worcester now depart from Stand 8 in Kidderminster Bus Station.
- New combined Service 293 and Service 294 timetable.
