Hereford Overground network launched
On Sunday 15th June 2003, First Midland Red Buses Limited launch a new network of services Hereford, as the Hereford “Overground†network. Existing local area services are withdrawn and replaced with a new network with route numbers in the range 71–76. Many of the new routes operate as cross-city services.
- Local Hereford Service 101 and Service 105 are withdrawn and replace by new Hereford Overground “Blue Line†Service 71, running between Gollege Green, Hereford City Centre, and Credenhill. Journey frequency is every 15-minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
- Local Hereford Service 102, Service 108, Service 109 and Service 112 are withdrawn and replaced by new Hereford Overground “Green Line†Service 72 and Service 72A, running between Bobblestock, Hereford City Centre, Putson and Red Hill. Journey frequency is every 10-minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
- Local Hereford Service 103 and Service 118 are withdrawn and replace by new Hereford Overground “Yellow Line†Service 73, running between Moor Farm, Hereford City Centre, and Rotherwas. Journey frequency is every 15-minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
- Local Hereford Service 104, Service 107 and Service 117 are withdrawn and replace by new Hereford Overground “Red Line†Service 74 and Service 74A, running between Newton Farm, Hereford City Centre, and Tupsley. Journey frequency is every 10-minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
- Local Hereford Service 106 is withdrawn and replace by new Hereford Overground “Purple Line†Service 75, running between Belmont, Hereford City Centre, and Hampton Park. Journey frequency is every 30-minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
- Local Hereford Service 110 and Service 111 are withdrawn and replace by new Hereford Overground “Orange Line†Service 76 and Service 76A, running between Hereford City Centre, Bartonsham and City Centre as a circular route (Service 76 runs clockwise, Service 76A runs anti-clockwise). Journey frequency is every hour in each direction, Monday to Saturday between 08:00 and 16:00. No evening or Sunday service is provided.
