All Services: Timetable Changes
27th October 2003
Hereford “WyeS Moves†network
On Monday 27th October 2003, Herefordshire Council introduced their “WyeS Moves†community bus services providing inter-community links in the South Wye area of Hereford. The three-year contract to operate the daytime services was won by First Midland Red Buses Limited, and these routes were run using four Optare Solo minibuses painted in yellow and green “WyeS Moves†livery. Residents in South Wye (St Martin's & Hinton, Belmont and Hollington wards) were invited to apply for a free membership card to give discount fares on these services.
- Hereford “WyeS Moves Centrelink†Service H8 is introduced to provide a direct link between Rotherwas and the South Wye area of Hereford to the City Centre, with through journeys to the Country Hospital and Railway Station. A 30-minute frequency was operated throughout the daytime.
- Hereford “WyeS Moves†Service H9, Service H10, and Service H11 are introduced to link Belmont, Red Hill, Newton Farm, Hunderton and Hinton to Rotherwas, where the vehicle would be inter-worked with “WyeS Moves Centrelink†Service H8 to provide a through service to the City Centre, Hospital and Railway Station.
- The Hereford to Rotherwas section of Hereford Local Service 73 is withdrawn and replaced by new Hereford “WyeS Moves Centrelink†Service H8. Service 73 now only runs between Hereford City Centre and Moor Farm.
