Service 672: Service History

Service 672 (2017–2020)

Operated by First Midland Red Buses Limited

On Sunday 3rd September 2017, the contract to operate Service 672 passed to First Midland Red Buses Limited, for a period of seven-years. The route was the same as that previously operated by DRM (Bromyard) Limited (“DRM bus”), running between Bromyard, Munderfield, Bishops Frome, Newtown, Stretton Grandison, Ashperton and Ledbury, and was then extended to the new Aldi supermarket at New Mills. One return journey was offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

On Monday 14th May 2018, First introduced a number of changes to route operated as part of the Herefordshire contract. From this time, Service 672 was withdrawn on Mondays, but additional journeys between Ledbury and Bromyard were introduced on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Certain journeys were also changed to run as variation Service 671 or Service 673.

Service 672 was withdrawn from Monday 6th April 2020 along with the other Market Day services in Ledbury, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.
