Service 561: Service History

Introduction

Service 561

Service 561 was originally a local Evesham service which was withdrawn, with all local Evesham services, when Evesham depot closed in 2006.

Service 561 (2015–2016)

Operated by First Midland Red Buses Limited

Route number 561 was reused by First Midland Red Buses Limited from Monday 7th September 2015. The service was intended as a variation to Service 551 between Worcester, Pershore and Evesham, running via Worcester County Hall and Hawbridge (Fusion Brasserie), both of which would no longer be served by Service 550 or Service 551 after network changes. Service 561 did not run via Shrubbery Road in Drakes Broughton, which continued to be served by Service 551.

This service operated every two-hours, replacing every second journey on Service 551, and was inter-worked with Limited-Stop Service X50 to provide an overall 30-minute frequency on certain parts of the route. Service 561 was withdrawn as part of service revisions that came in to effect on Monday 11th April 2016.
