Service 446: Service History

Introduction

Service 446

Historically Service 446 was a variation of Hereford Service 440, linking Hereford and Eardisley. The majority of the route was the same as Service 440, but most journeys diverted from the main road to also serve the villages of Kenchester and Bishopstone. While Service 440 continued to Hay-on-Wye, Service 446 traditionally terminated in Eardisley, Tram Inn.

In the early 1970s, the Service 446 was change to also serve Staunton-on-Wye Village, which had previously been served by occasional variations to Service 440.
