Introduction

Service 360

During 1930, Service 360 operated two return journeys between Worcester, Tibberton, Oddingley and Droitwich Spa, on Mondays only.

Later, route number 360 was used for a Saturday only services between Worcester, Upton Snodsbury, and Naunton Beauchamp., then later still for a service between Worcester and Bishampton, which was withdrawn on Saturday 3rd April 1971.

Service 360 (1933–1940)

Operated by Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited

Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited (BMMO—Midland “Red” Motor Services) introduced Service 360 running between Droitwich Spa, Ombersley, and Holt Fleet on Saturday 29th July 1933.

Initially the service ran only on Saturdays and Sundays and was timed to connect with Service 144 at Droitwich Spa to provide links to The Malverns, Worcester, Bromsgrove and Birmingham, and also to connect with Service 315 or Service 316 at Ombersley to provide links to Worcester, Kidderminster and Stourbridge.

By 1938, additional journeys were operated on Thursdays, all of the Service 315 and Service 316 journeys that connected with Service 360 had been extended to and from Dudley as Service 345 and Service 346.

This version of Service 360 had been withdrawn by c. 1940, but by May 1943 new Service 349 was introduced to replace it, although no connecting services were advertised and only two return journeys were offered on Saturdays only.
