Service 300: Service History

Service 300 (1925–1928)

Operated by Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited

On Saturday 16th May 1925, Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited (BMMO—Midland “Red” Motor Services) renumbered their entire network with route numbers being grouped into geographical areas. From this date, Service 126 between Worcester and Ledbury, and Service 91 between Hereford and Ledbury, were combined as Service 300. Most journeys only ran between Ledbury and Worcester or Ledbury and Hereford, but on Market Days some journeys ran the whole route.

The network was again renumbered on Saturday 11th February 1928, and at this time Service 300 became Service 417. This service still runs to this date, but since the 1960s it has only operated between Worcester and Ledbury.

See Service 417 for more details and timetables for this route.
