Service 188: Service History

Service 188 (1962–1969)

Operated by Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited

Following the opening of the M5 motorway in July 1962, Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited (BMMO—Midland “Red” Motor Services) introduced Service 188 running on Bank Holidays only between Birmingham, Worcester, and the Malverns. This services was a variation to Service 144 and was not normally advertised in timetables.

Service 188 had been withdrawn by the end of the 1960s.
