Service 133: Service History

Introduction

Service 133

Service 133 was operated by Midland Red (West) Limited from the early-1980s between Kidderminster, Mustow Green, Chaddesley Corbett, Bromsgrove and Charford. Shortly before privatisation, on Saturday 30th August 1986, Midland Red (West) Limited withdraw most journeys with just three or four off-peak journeys remaining each day.

During the late-1980s extra journeys were added but the Charford to Bromsgrove section was withdrawn. A Service 134 variation which ran via Harvington and Bluntington, under contract from Hereford and Worcester County Council, was added in the early-1990s. From Saturday 28th August 1993, one journey in each direction on Saturdays only ran as Service 136. This ran n the same route as Service 134 between Kidderminster and Chaddesley Corbett, but then ran to Droitwich Spa, and not Bromsgrove.

Towards the end of the 1990s, most journeys of Service 133 were withdrawn and replaced with the Service 134 variation. Service 133 was withdrawn on Sunday 1st September 2002.
