- Service 49 introduced as an emergency measure while the Severn bridge
is closed to traffic during the floods.

- Severn bridge reopened - Normal services resume.
|
|
- Due to fresh flooding in Worcester the Severn Bridge is closed at
12 noon on the 13th December 2000. Midland Red immediately start operating
Service 49 to St Johns Bullring.
- Crowngate bus station is kept open by raising the level of the road
with gravel. Service 49 therefore operates from Crowngate via Deansway
and College Street to Bath Road and NOT from the Cornmarket car park
via City Walls Road as before. Journeys to Crowngate operate from Bath
Road via City Walls Road, St. Nicholas Street and Angle Street.
