I read this article on www.ronsbusesandcoaches.com , a site reporting on bus and coach activities past and present in North Wales.It says that this shortened Ford R1014 has recently been acquired by Goodwin's , Bagillt , Holywell. BUT , they intend to scrap it unless any individual/ group would like to preserve it.

I thought that was a Wythall bus that had gone on extended loan to be restored?

Last time I saw that bus at Wythall it looked all in one piece with reasonably sound external bodywork, so what on earth has happened in the last ten or so years to bring it into such a badly damaged state especially the front nearside and entrance. The overall mouldy external condition also indicates that this bus has been exposed to the elements during its time of 'restoration'!

Are there any other ex-Midland Red Carlye Road 'Mini-bus Ford conversions in preservation? If there are then I am unable to find any in the PSV Circle Preserved Buses 2021 edition? This is a great shame as Ford buses and coaches were very popular from the late 1950's through to early 1980's which makes this bus unique. Sadly very few Ford coaches have survived into preservation either.

I have looked into the 'History' files on this site- thanks to those who compiled the files - and found that 6361 went for preservation but was sold on e-bay in 2005 [not sure what condition it was in]. Whilst 6393 was exported to Jamaica so possibly could have survived as a shed or something similar in a warmer climate.
