The 52 and 53 can't be operated with a double-deck due to the low bridge in Drakes Boughton.

True, but Astons never seem to care... They just drive into the middle of the road towards the traffic when running the PS03 school contract. Lol

I was thinking of variations of the 32, between Kempsey and Norton (eventually), and maybe to and from the Parkway (eventually).
Astons coaches already use their double-deckers on the Pershore High School contract between Norton and the school, and I would like First to get this work eventually, and convert it to registered bus service(s) - perhaps "S" prefix, so that seat belts would no longer be a requirement.

..... I would also like First to be the main beneficiary (£) of carrying the school kids from all the new housing !

Oh god, I totally forgot about that one. That would turn the double deckers into single ones...

Today's "Notices and Proceedings" has an application to vary the 144 timetable from the 1st of October.
As there has been no talk of increased frequencies on the 144, I suppose we must assume that the number of passengers being carried has reduced to the point where DDs are no longer needed (?), and that improved train services between Bromsgrove and Birmingham will make more bus passengers unlikely
(?)
- At least with single-deckers, there should be reduced dwell at bus stops, and they should be better able to catch-up when running late.
They should use less fuel as well.

I will quote the company announcement for 144/144A...
The route and frequency of these services remains unchanged, but there will be minor timetable changes.

Will either of the revised 31, +/or the 31U, be able to use bigger buses (please) ?
- (Adam ?)
- I don't know whether either of them will be able to avoid the bridge with the weight limit.
Thanks.

31 will run over the old Citibus 26 route so goes over the bridge and will still have to use a Solo. 31U doesn't use the bridge so can use a larger bus.
