I 've just found - on the W.County council website - Travel&Roads - Latest News, a new announcement that along with the introduction of the new WR bus network, will be two weeks of traffic monitoring and enforcement of the current restrictions in and out of Lowesmoor !

Jolly Good ! :)
I will believe it when I see it!

There's an awful lot of changes imminent - is everyone at First ready ?

Are the stands at Crowngate all sorted?

Have "we" got enough buses and drivers ?

(66305 has been out of action for more than two weeks).

Will the new "Fifties" utilise the existing fleet ? (IE: no extra vehicles overall).

With the public now alerted to the enforcement of the Lowesmoor restrictions, we need it all to go well -

GOOD LUCK ALL !

I am somewhat ill-at-ease about the discontinuation of the 363 Twyning section.
Currently there are 4 Mon-Fri journeys per day in each direction (IE: Worcester and Tewkesbury), but these are to end, - apparently with no partial replacements by any operator.
Walking to or from the main road to catch the 363 (from next week) appears to be an option, (only-just), for able-bodied males wearing high-viz vests.

I took a look at the village today and there appears to be quite a lot of housing and more being built.
I couldn't see any bus-stop signs near the big village green, but there was a parish council notice board outside the shop, that had a bus timetable on display -
I THINK it was the old/current one - but I hadn't got my reading glasses with me !
BUT there was no notice to warn of the imminent loss of buses.

On the promising looking Gloucestershire C.Council website, I could find no news or relevant info. about it, and also none on a rather pretentious looking Twyning website.
Presumably the local residents know about it by some other means,
and some MAY have clicked-on First's Worcestershire website -" Worcester network changes".

I am not critising First, in any of the above, but I am depressed by how lowly and unimportant bus services seem to have become in some places !

I believe that both our Mr. Adam.H, and our Mr. Red Midland, have driven this service -
could either of you two gentlemen tell me please -
- Did you ever pick-up or set-down ANY passengers in Twyning -
- EVER ??
:?:

There was a women who used to catch the bus in to Tewkesbury about once a month, but I haven't seen her for a while.

I've only done about a dozen Tewkesbury's but I have never picked up a passenger - it's no point running a service if it isn't being used

It would be nice if the new timtable booklets had been made available prior to the new services launching.

Popped into Worcester this morning and there were Malvern and 50s timetables at Crowngate and that was it. The Touris Information Centre had posters up advising that they had not recived any of them yet
