Passengers on it too!
I really don't miss driving StreetLites. Really didn't like them at all.

AdamH - I don’t like them at all, some of the Ex York ones are much better than our original collection, but most of the rest of the new acquisitions are s**t. I don’t think I will be at Padmore Street for much longer.

I don't understand how they could get it so wrong. I've been lucky enough to sample buses and coaches built by many manufactures over the year and for a new vehicle, StreetLites are shocking! I dread to think what they are like now they are getting old.
You're always welcome at Stagecoach, we mostly have ADL and Scania, plus a tiny number of Solos at some depots.

Re: The 153 !
They are cheap, that is why First have bought loads of them. I was speaking to the staff manager from Aberdeen recently, who was in charge of the people centricity bollocks, and he told that they had a visit from an engineer from Wrights one day and was told that just one of the complaints from drivers was the lack of power, especially when you need it at roundabouts etc. He took a Streetlite, attached his laptop, pressed a few buttons and asked the manager to try it. It was like a completely different vehicle, acceleration was great, and it was a joy to drive. He was asked to do this to all the vehicles, but said he was unable to do this, and returned the bus to how it was before he had adjusted it. The reason: it had to be reset to First’s lower performance settings. It’s all down to First policy of saving money in reduced fuel costs, and disregarding the health and wellbeing of its drivers!

Glad to see this has run yesterday and today, despite the First timetable STILL "saying"
School Days only, on this council subsidised service.

Re: The 153 !
It's only taken them about a year and a half that it might be a good idea to distribute some leaflets to the businesses on the estates advertising the service...they may have done previously but it's the first time I've seen any
There was a small pile of them in our reception yesterday.I told some agency staff who used to come by train about the service but couldn't advise them where it stopped though! The leaflet suggests preferred boarding points but operates as a hail and ride but looks like proper stops are to be installed in the near future.
