Hay on Wye 2023 Festival Buses ?

Post by DD12 » 16:54 Thursday 18th May 2023

A while back, I asked the festival organisers if there would be an X99 between Worcester and Hereford, and the shuttle service again to/from Hay, - which they have confirmed.

I also contacted First on May 8th and asked them if they are to run these services again, and I have had a reply today saying "we do not run an X99 service" (!)

Fair enough, if some other operator is going to do it, -- but I was hoping for a scenic DD ride again on the Worcester - Hereford section -- the X99, -- however, I'm busy at this time of year and don't want to turn-up at Crowngate to find it's a single-decker, - or worse-still, a no-show !!

Does anyone know anything cast-iron factual please ??

I was in Worcester depot earlier in the week and they confirmed they are running the Hay-on-Why service this year using StreetDecks.

I'm thinking of having a ride out one day. I just need to confirm which duty my favorite driver is working!

That's amazing Adam, - thanks ! -- Even though you no longer work for them, you are still more helpful than their own information service - - which costs them £££££ per year !!

I have a few days off to use up, so it was only polite to have a ride out to Hay. This was my ride home!
