Charter trains at Shrub Hill 22 April 2022.
Worcester Shrub Hill station had two charter trains call at lunchtime today Friday 22 April 2022. The Northern Belle Afternoon Tea train ran from Kidderminster to Newport with 57316 'Alnwick Castle' leading and 47813 bringing up the rear in 'top and tail' mode.
Then a few minutes later the Honeybourne Hoover ran from Burton-on-Trent to Eastleigh with 50008 'Thunderer' and 50007 'Hercules' masquerading as 50034 'Furious'.

A few photographs taken from the overbridge at Shrub Hill station today Thursday 5 May 2022. 37425 'Sir Robert McAlpine' working from Bristol Temple Meads to Bescot on a crew familiarisation run.
800015 an Inter City Express Train (IET) working from Paddington to Great Malvern.
166208 working from Warminster to Great Malvern.
66040 working Round Oak to Margam steel empties.

Excellent 37 action. And to think there used to be loads of them based about 300 yards away from where I now live. Just one semi-permanent 66 now!
