Midland Red: BMMO D10 — Preservation

Of the two BMMO type D10 prototype double-deck buses that were built, thankfully one has been rescuied for preservation.

Restored & Preserved by the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Trust (BaMMOT)

Shortly after 4943 was withdrawn from service in July 1972, she was passed to the late Alan Kelsall for preservation, along with a considerable quantity of machanical parts removed from 4944.  Mr Kelsall retained this now unique vehicle until 1979, when she was passed to the BaMMOT.
